Ny'alotha, the Sleeping City, has awakened. Under N'Zoth's command, the armies of the Black Empire threaten to engulf the world and reshape it according to their master's vision. Only one hope remains: using the repaired titan forges to eradicate the Corruptor once and for all. But in order to target N'Zoth with the forges' power, the champions of Azeroth must venture deep into the horrific realm for one final confrontation against the Old God.

As he bravely fought to save the Chamber of Heart, Ra-den was pulled into Ny'alotha where he has fallen victim to N'Zoth's whispers. The despair he harbored for so long has overwhelmed the last of his hope, rendering his corruption complete. Now the former Highkeeper will stop at nothing to do the Old God's bidding.

Overview
Ra-den periodically draws Void and Vita Essence from other realms. Essences that reach Ra-den empower him with energy of that type. At 40% health, Ra-den begins drawling energy directly from these realms. This allows Ra-den to cast spells empowered by both energy types.

Maut
As the ancient aqir arose from the desert sands, their prophets set about the construction of an obsidian destroyer imbued with the essence of the Old Gods. Driven by an insatiable thirst for magic, Maut consumed the mana of its creators once it awoke and left their corpses to rot under the scorching sun of Uldum.

Overview
Maut gains mana by Devouring Magic, leaving behind magical voids of Devoured Abyss. Upon reaching full mana Maut becomes encased in Obsidian Skin and prepares to unleash Obsidian Shatter. When its cast completes or the mana shield is consumed, Maut will once again come alive to drain magic from its enemies.

- Take turns tanking to mitigate the effects of Shadow Claws and Shadow Wounds.
- Utilize Devoured Abyss to escape the effects of Stygian Annihilation and interrupt the spellcasting of Dark Manifestations.
- Intercept orbs of Forbidden Mana before they reach Maut and use their power to aid your allies.

Carapace of N'Zoth
At the center of Ny'alotha stands a dread mountain of flesh, teeming with eyes and tendrils of unfettered corruption. Madness itself seeps from the writhing mass, eroding the sanity of all who approach it. This is the heart of the Black Empire, N'Zoth's seat of power, the body of a god.
Abilities & Strategy
Overview
N'Zoth rallies his physical defenses, retreating deeper into his carapace at 50% and 40% health. Players' Sanity balances tenuously throughout the encounter. Wrathion allows players to utilize their Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve to recover from Wrathion's Anchor of Sanity. Losing all Sanity grants Gift of N'Zoth, then transforms a player into a Servant of N'Zoth. Players lose access to Wrathion's aid in the final stage.

- Move away from your allies when afflicted with Madness Bomb and Insanity Bomb.
- Adaptive Membrane transfers full damage to the wearer only if the absorb shield is broken before the duration expires.

N'Zoth recovers within a subcutaneous layer of the carapace, healing from growths along the cavern walls and restricting players with regenerating cysts. While any Synthesis Growths remain, N'Zoth is immune to all damage. N'Zoth retreats again upon reaching 40% health. In Mythic difficulty, Wrathion no longer provides players with aid in Stage 2, and N'Zoth retreats immediately upon all Synthesis Growths being defeated.

Shad'har the Insatiable
One of N'Zoth's most nightmarish creations, Shad'har the Insatiable feasts on the corrupted carcasses that the Old God's minions discard into its domain. Tormented by ceaseless hunger, Shad'har's body twists and mutates with every corpse it devours.
Abilities & Strategy
Overview
Shad'har the Insatiable's breath changes its damage type and secondary effect based on the mantle currently being worn. As Shad'har the Insatiable eats, his body changes to match the material consumed.
Tanks
- Make sure that neither tank has both Crush and Dissolve at the same time.
- Avoid Shad'har the Insatiable's breath attacks.
- Shad'har the Insatiable's damage increases noticeably after casting Frenzy.
Healers
- Debilitating Spit initially inflicts high single target damage, then changes to damage multiple targets as it spreads through the group.
- Avoid Shad'har the Insatiable's breath attacks.
- Tanks will be taking high damage after Shad'har the Insatiable casts Frenzy.

Wrathion, the Black Emperor
Despite all his precautions, Wrathion could not avoid succumbing to the madness that claimed his father. With his mind twisted by N'Zoth, he believes that the only way he can truly defend Azeroth is to rule it in the Old God's name. A prince no longer, Wrathion now takes his rightful place as the Black Emperor.
Abilities & Strategy
Overview
Wrathion's Molten Eruptions unleash Molten Pools throughout the space, consuming 50 energy. When all his energy is depleted, Wrathion melds into the shadows and inflicts Burning Madness on enemies and transforms all Molten Pools into Crackling Shards. While hidden in the shadows, Wrathion regains energy, and once fully recharged returns to the fight space and turns any remaining Crackling shards into Lava Pools.

- Focus damage on Crackling Shards when they emerge.
- Move to a safe space during Burning Cataclysm to avoid taking lethal damage.
- Running through Crackling Shards while afflicted with Burning Madness destroys them.

The Prophet Skitra
A master of illusion, Skitra delights in terrorizing his victims as he breaks their perception of reality. Those who fail to see through his deceptions become lost in Ny'alotha for eternity.
Abilities & Strategy
Overview
The Prophet Skitra wields dominating, mind-bending magics and confuses his opponents with illusions. The Prophet casts Illusionary Projection at 66% and 33% health, splitting the raid into two groups. Players with Clouded Mind will see one set of illusions, and players with Twisted Mind will see another set of illusions. Both groups will also see the real Prophet Skitra, and will need to coordinate to identify and defeat him.

- Work with your fellow tank to avoid taking too many stacks of Shadow Shock.
- Coordinate with allies to discover the real Prophet Skitra when he casts Illusionary Projection.

Obsessively wielding the power that N'Zoth has granted her, Vexiona has amassed a cult of worshippers who covet the gifts of the Void. From high atop her temple within the Black Empire, she transforms her most devout followers into unstoppable horrors.
Abilities & Strategy
Overview
Vexiona engages players on the ground while calling upon the Cult of the Void to assist her. Upon reaching 100 energy, she takes to the air and transforms one of her Cultists into a powerful Void Ascendant. She then assaults players with Twilight Decimator before returning to the ground. At 40% health, Vexiona unleashes the full extent of her power and must be defeated quickly before she overwhelms players with Void Corruption.
Tanks
- Void Ascendants drop Gift of the Void when defeated. Pick up and use it to remove Void Corruption.
- Face Twilight Breath and Annihilation away from other players.
- Despair inflicts damage to the raid based on your missing health when it expires.

Locked in a contest of wills, the generals Ka'zir and Tek'ris constantly vie for dominance over their fellow aqir. As they wrest control away from one another, the hive shifts its tactics and obeys each of their commands with fervent loyalty.

Ka'zir and Tek'ris control and manipulate a hive of Aqir. Infulence over the Aqir shifts between Ka'zir and Tek'ris periodically, altering the Aqir summoned during the encounter.
Tanks
- Tek'ris and Kaz'ir take reduced damage when the positioning requirements of Tek'ris's Hivemind Control or Ka'zir's Hivemind Control are not met.
- Aqir Drones are Mindless and do not obey threat.
- Ensure that Ka'zir's Mind-Numbing Nova is interrupted.

- Echoing Void causes substantial damage to all players.
- Aqir Darters inflict damage to all players with Psionic Resonance.
- Aqir Drones will attack allies at random.

The grotesque amalgam of flesh known as Drest'agath slumbered beneath Ny'alotha for millennia until being awakened by N'Zoth's return. Now she rises like a revolting boil, ready to burst and spread her vile pestilence across Azeroth.

Overview
Drest'agath's appendages burst through the floor and attack enemies who enter her lair. When appendages are destroyed, pools of Void Infused Ichor form around their corpse. Enemies who touch Void Infused Ichor bypass the continual healing provided by Drest'agath's Aberrant Regeneration. In addition to creating pools of Void Infused Ichor, destroying a tentacle partially fills Drest'agath's Agony bar. Upon reaching 100 Agony, Drest'agath begins Throes of Agony.
Damage Dealers
- All damage dealt to Drest'agath while not affected by Void Infused Ichor will be regenerated.
- Destroying appendages can trigger Throes of Agony.
- Void Glare, Entropic Crash and Mutterings of Insanity are each increased in power based on how many of each type of appendage is active.

Following its defeat in the Emerald Nightmare, Il'gynoth retreated into the depths of Ny'alotha to regain its strength. Now it has fused with the city's architecture and spreads across the Black Empire like a creeping infestation. As Il'gynoth's corrupting flesh grows ever larger, so does its power.

Reducing Il'gynoth's health to 0 will cause him to retreat, opening chambers to his three Organs of Corruption while he reforms. Each Organ of Corruption spawns Bloods of Ny'alotha, but players can slow the blood flow with interrupt abilities. Defeating an Organ of Corruption will cause Il'gynoth to return with restored health. This cycle repeats until all three Organs of Corruption and Il'gynoth have all been defeated.

Overview
N'Zoth assaults players' bodies and minds across two separate realms, the physical realm and the Mind of N'Zoth. In the physical realm, N'Zoth defends himself with an array of fearsome tentacles and dominating psychic magic. Players are drawn into the Mind of N'Zoth by the Corruptor's Glimpse of Infinity or by entering a Mindgate. Within the Mind of N'Zoth awaits Psychus, the guardian of N'Zoth's thoughts, along with other denizens and visions conjured by the Corruptor. Slaying Psychus triggers Shattered Ego, making N'Zoth vulnerable for a window within the physical realm. To return to the physical realm, players must reach their lifeless bodies and Restore Consciousness. As players weaken N'Zoth, he casts Convergence, drawing the Chamber of Heart and Ny'alotha into dimensional alignment to fulfill his ultimate purpose.
