A lot of these 'newcomers' were Blood Elves.Whoever had the task of doing the copy/paste from DF/WW into Midnight utterly failed in their editing of the NPC dialogue, and the targets should have been Alliance PCs and/or NPCs. Unless the search is really for BE members of the Twilight's Hammer infiltrating the war effort, in which case it's not properly explained.
