The mammoth has a secret ability. The action bar has numbers 1-6, but there is actually a war stomp bound to SEVEN. You obviously can't click on it, so just press 7 to do the war stomp stun, run back and charge in for another stun and do some more damage. It also keeps annoying mobs off you while you travel to and from the boss. Hope this helps =)

After completing this quest, Hemet appears and has a short conversation with Dorian:

Description

Broodmother Slivina's likely to be a snarling ball of teeth, spikes, and talons. You've gone and stolen her children away and no mother takes kindly to that. 'Tis true they hatched from eggs, but she loves the little beasts no less than your mother loves you. She'll be desperate and fierce in equal measures, everything Hemet loves in a target. You and he, along with that mammoth, should be a match for her. She's on her perch at the northern edge of the Savage Thicket and hungers for revenge.
