Post-partum Aggression

Post-partum Aggression is a quest for level 20-30 in Sholazar Basin. It is step 25 of 65 in the Sholazar Basin storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Sholazar Basin at 42.3, 28.7. It rewards 5 reward items, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 2 achievements.

Description

Broodmother Slivina's likely to be a snarling ball of teeth, spikes, and talons. You've gone and stolen her children away and no mother takes kindly to that.

'Tis true they hatched from eggs, but she loves the little beasts no less than your mother loves you.

She'll be desperate and fierce in equal measures, everything Hemet loves in a target. You and he, along with that mammoth, should be a match for her.

She's on her perch at the northern edge of the Savage Thicket and hungers for revenge.

The mammoth has a secret ability. The action bar has numbers 1-6, but there is actually a war stomp bound to SEVEN. You obviously can't click on it, so just press 7 to do the war stomp stun, run back and charge in for another stun and do some more damage. It also keeps annoying mobs off you while you travel to and from the boss. Hope this helps =)

After completing this quest, Hemet appears and has a short conversation with Dorian:

[11:35]Hemet Nesingwary says: What a fight you missed, Dorian! It was one for the ages!
[11:41]Hemet Nesingwary says: There we were, riding into battle at full speed on the back of Stampy...
[11:47]Hemet Nesingwary says: Everything was shaking all over the place. I could hardly steady my gun.
[11:52]Hemet Nesingwary says: And then we saw her, the fearsome beast!
[11:58]Hemet Nesingwary says: It took all of <name>'s skill to maintain control of Stampy.
[12:04]Hemet Nesingwary says: The battle was a haze of blood, lead, and sweat. The broodmother's attacks came faster and faster!
[12:12]Hemet Nesingwary says: But, in the end, <name> and I prevailed through our wits and teamwork. And now we have this glorious trophy as a memento of our victory.
[12:18]Hemet Nesingwary says: Do I detect a bit of jealousy, Dorian?
[12:23]Dorian Drakestalker says: Well, I don't know. I was here tending the fire and discussing the drawbacks of cogs with Zootfizzle. That's pretty epic, too, in its own way.
