The mob you're looking for is called Direlob, level 32 with about 3171 hp.
He can be found inside the "Skulk Rock" cave.He has the ability consume which traps you inside him and deals 5% of maximum hp every 1 or 2 seconds (until you're dead).
Also, he does seem to have about 4 minutes respawn timer.EDIT: Killed him now, and but seems that I had to "bug" him in order to do so. It is not considered a stun, even though you can't move or use any skills, so you can't blink out of it as mage. However, Iceblock does work. You're 100% stuck inside him, but you can kill him from the inside and he won't attack you.
So there you go, Paladins and Mages.

Big slime inside the cave at "Skulk Rock": Coords for the entrance: 57.38
The quest giver wouldn't offer me this quest until I had turned in Thornar Thunderclash. By that time, I had turned in all the other quests with objectives in the same area so there may be other requirements, but you can safely ignore turtles, Lard, and port. (If you've picked up the quests, you'll know what I mean.)

What to do
Description
I've become very interested in the slimes inhabiting Skulk Rock. No matter how many times they're cleared out, they seem to return, yet it doesn't seem they're capable of reproducing from a single slime. I think something's growing in there. There's a source where all the slimes come from, and I want to study it. Find this source, and bring me back a sample.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Skulk Rock Supplies
I was at Skulk Rock during the second war. I was young, years before I met my mate, and I still remember the chaos when the Alliance attacked us. We fled with the orcs, without any time to gather our belongings. It was all left behind. Skulk Rock is still full of our old supplies.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Start Taking Back
Today we make the first strike at the heart of the savage Vilebranch tribe. Show no mercy, <name>; this is no longer just a spat between trolls. Every victory of the Revantusk is a victory for the Horde! The Vilebranch headhunters and witch doctors will be the first to go.
