Primal Pests is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-70 in The Waking Shores. It is step 20 of 28 in The Dragonscale Expedition storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Waking Shores at 82.2, 31.9. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 9,500 experience and money.

Description

<Azurathel glances suspiciously at the proto-dragons lurking on the ridge behind him.>

I'd swear that those proto-dragons edge closer to camp every time I turn my back...

Those are not the dragons Wrathion invited us here to meet.

Proto-dragons are ruthless predators who cannot be reasoned with. We must be ruthless in return.

Cull their numbers to keep their ambitions in check, or this expedition will be over before it begins.

Before this quest

  • Explorers in PerilThe Waking Shores · Level 10-70

Don't mistake the expedition's scholarly pursuits as timidness, <name>. We are not recluses studying books in far-off towers. We are adventurers, hunting down knowledge first-hand in every corner of Azeroth!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Practice MaterialsThe Waking Shores · Level 10-70

The proto-drakes here are unlike any I've seen before. Their scales appear to be naturally flame-resistant, stronger than steel, and don't lose flexibility in the process. Incredible. The artisans are clamoring to get their hands on some to work with. Start with the whelps.
