Put Out The Fire

Put Out The Fire is a quest for level 7-30 in Ashenvale. It is step 2 of 2 in the Ashenvale, Everyone storyline, the final step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ashenvale at 52.1, 56.7. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

Lord Magmathar's minions must first be dealt with if we're to retake this area and put a stop to the fiery destruction of the forest.

The lava ragers on the flow to the north are strengthened by being on their own element. I fear that on your own, you won't have much chance against them.

When you are ready, speak to me again, and I will summon one of my own to assist you.

as of the time of posting, the Freezing Surger companion seems to be bugged.

it puts you in combat indefinitely, and also seems to have an invisible DoT/aura damage (invisible in that it doesn't show up on combat text nor the combat log)

I eventually had to run out of Thunder Ridge to despawn the Freezing Surger to make the quest remotely doable.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
