This world quest is for the ORANGE version of the Sabertron
The colored Sabertron rares are required for the achievement Sabertron Assemble, the world quests are always on the same spot and each color is tied to a different quest id, you will spend a lot of time waiting to get the all the different world quests to spawn.
It is always located on the same spot in Stormsong Valley inside a cave at 34.2 32.4. To get the sabertron to spawn you must get into combat with [npc=139334] and be mindful of not killing him before he activates the sabertron, sometimes he just doesn't seem to do it regardless of how much health you take from him, his respawn time is 5 minutes.
/way Stormsong Valley 34.2 32.4 SabertronsThe red sabertron is not a world quest and can easily be spawned at any time. The remaining four colors are tied to different world quests that share the same name. In order to help those looking for particular colors here are the colors and quest they are tied to:
- Red Sabertron is the default choice, no world quest necessary;
- Orange Sabertron is from the world quest Sabertron (id 51978)
- Copper Sabertron is from the world quest Sabertron (id 51974)
- Yellow Sabertron is from the world quest Sabertron (id 51977)
- Green Sabertron is from the world quest Sabertron (id 51976)
I have taken this weak aura from DenL and modified it as suggested by him using the quest IDs above and the uiMapID 942 taken from this table at wowpedia, although it seems the uiMapID 1198 works just the same. I haven't had the chance to test the aura with a world quest up yet so I am not sure which one of the IDs will work, or if both will.
I have crossposted this into each of the world quests and also on the achievement page to help those looking for this information.
A couple of notes on this quest for hunters:
- If you complete the World Quest by killing the lion, you will be unable to cause the special colored lion to activate after killing the engineer; you'll only be able to activate the red one, so be sure to tame FIRST, then kill it to complete the World Quest
- I've seen some opposite-faction hunters trolling when they can't get the tame themselves--don't do that, because it just wastes everyone's time by increasing competition
- If you have Animal Companion, don't forget to a second lion if you want a matching set, but don't be a jerk when doing it
If you're not a hunter, consider letting at least 1 hunter camping get the tame; the respawn timer is very short (around 60 seconds), and I'm sure the grateful hunter will be more than happy to help you with the World Quest afterwards.
