Someone Setup the Pumpkin Bomb

FYI the screen shot shown is a HUGE hint, and makes it really easy once to get the hang of it. But if you don't like puzzles, read on...

Collect Sunpower by right clicking on them.

Early on, keep the plant Sunflowers on cooldown till you have about 3 made. By then you should be dealing with about 3 Zombies. Rocknut's are your friend (and cheap!), build a few to hold them off.

Next you'll want to plant Spitter's to kill off those 3 Zombies once you have enough Sunpower.

Start planting more Sunflowers, the key to winning is making two full rows of Sunflowers.

Balance making those with a full row of Spitter's and a full row of Freezya's. You should also place a full row of Rocknut's for extra protection.

Then try and stockpile Sunpower for Pumpkin Bombs and Strangler Vines.

I was having a huge amount of trouble with this one until someone have me a tip. This is what you need:

2 rows of sunflowers
3 rows of tentacles.

Start planting sunflowers early on, and plant tentacles as needed. Save two rows for all of your sunflowers! Get them up ASAP. One tentacle should have no problem taking down 2 zombies, so don't worry about it. Once all your sunflowers are up, start planting tentacle vines. I ended up with three rows, but you can probably get by with two. With two rows of sunflowers you get so much sunlight that you actually start looking for things to spend it on.

After you have the sunflowers and tentacles up, make sure you have enough sunlight for a pumpkin bomb, and plant rocks as needed. Only use the pumpkin bomb on the big purple guys (and anything bigger than that). The tentacles will take care of anything else. If your pumpkin bomb is on cooldown and you have sunlight to pare, plant a few rocks.

Once I used this strategy this level was very easy. You can use this same strategy on the final level as well. Don't bother with spitters or freezies, just sunflowers and tentacles.

A tip for everyone that's stuck:

In the very first 'wave' of zombies, find a lane where there is only one zombie and block him with a wall nut (stone). Keep blocking him until you have two lines of sunflowers and your defenses are shaping up, then kill him and spank the rest with endless sunshine. The next wave shouldn't trigger until you kill that zombie, so this buys you a ton of time to prepare.
