Note that only ONE person (yes, even if they're not in your party) can "Speak to Shakes". So outdated, so annoying. There were a line of people waiting for the yellow ? to appear above Shakes's head so we can turn in the quest and progress.

Leads to this quest, which for some reason is marked as obsolete even though it's still in the game
Sadly, there are too few Calcified Elven Gems around, too far between and too slow respawn rate..
Getting all 10 Elven Gems have taken me 15 minutes, without anyone being in the water at the same time :(

What to do
Description
Let's not leave Captain O'Breen waiting. He'll want to see these gems first hand. After all, that's why we're here! And after a few weeks of consorting with these pirates, the professor and I have realized the last thing that's good for our health is to be caught hanging on to their treasure. Here, {name}, take these to O'Breen.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Sunken Treasure
The treasure has been on the sea floor so long that the gems have calcified into thick stone. But the power harnessed in these goggles will allow you to locate them easily. A little gnomish ingenuity goes a long way!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Death From Below
This is bad. It seems the Daggerspines are amassing for an attack. Naga are known for their ruthlessness in battle. They will keep attacking until I am dead. I don't value my own life above that of my crew members, but you must help to defend me.
