I abandoned the quest when I could not summon any more spirits, hoping to restart the quest. No such luck. Then I discover a few more on my way out, but too late for me. Don't abandon the quest before leaving the caves! You can get the quest again at the entrance and then go back in to finish it.
Quest is a part of In Pursuit of Gul'dan / In Pursuit of Gul'dan achievement.

Description
It is clear the cave is protected by powerful ghosts, ancestors of the Bleeding Hollow. Whatever is down there, it will be easier to deal with if many of the spirits were dealt with first.
