I didn't notice the barbs at all and just took off my disguise and killed all three. You can still turn it in that way, but it's probably much easier doing it as you're told.
This quest is hilarious. You cause Voodooist Timan to fall off the tower to his death, Worg Mistress Othana gets eaten alive by worgs, once again by you, and Gorlop "falls" into a lava pit and is burned alive, also by you. I just wish Blizzard made the "fall into lava" animation better because all it really looks like is him standing on the lava pit and he falls over dead after that. I stepped on that same lava spot and it never deals damage to you. Other than that, epic and hilarious quest!

Description
<You hear a buzzing in your ear.> {name}? It's Eitrigg. We've just received the final bit of information for your next mission. There are three marks that we'd like you to take down. The first is Voodooist Timan, whom you'll find atop the Pillar of Ash. Worgmistress Othana is in the central worg pens. Finally, Gorlop is near the lava pools to the south. You will find the scorpid barbs you harvested packed along with your belongings. Use the barbs on the marks when the time is right.
