With their leader defeated and that third relic fragment found, we should regroup with the others back at Lothar's Statue, <name>.
I'll meet you there.

Hey everyone! It's said here that the events of Warcraft 2 were "nearly" 30 years ago. If this doesn't sit quite right with anyone else, I agree and I know it's lazy, but here's what Google AI says, editing the copy/paste for clarity.
Approximately 38 to 39 years have passed between the start of the Second War in Warcraft II and the beginning of World of Warcraft: Midnight.
In the established Warcraft lore timeline, dates are measured from the opening of the Dark Portal (Year 0):
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness begins in Year 4. Its expansion, Beyond the Dark Portal, takes place in Year 8.
The War Within (the expansion immediately preceding Midnight) is set in Year 41.
World of Warcraft: Midnight is scheduled to release on March 2, 2026. While the exact in-universe year for Midnight has not been definitively confirmed by Blizzard, it is widely estimated to be Year 42 or 43 based on the established "one year per expansion" lore cadence and the three-year time skip that occurred between Shadowlands and Dragonflight.
Timeline Overview
Event Lore Year (ADP) Gap from Warcraft II (Start)
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness Year 4, Start
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Year 20 16 Years
World of Warcraft (Vanilla) Year 25 21 Years
The War Within Year 41 37 Years
World of Warcraft: Midnight ~Year 42-43 ~38-39 Years
*There is also a "significant" skip between Shadowlands and Dragonflight that covers three years of relative peace. This brings the total gap between the start of Shadowlands and the start of Dragonflight to five years (two years for the events of Shadowlands plus the three-year skip).

The remaining Dark Horde forces are gathered here, <name>. Many of them look to be untrained and new to the cause. Drive away the forces gathered here, and perhaps we can hope to see some peace in this region--for the first time in decades.

This statue seems out of place here. Nothing else like it. But this is where Anduin Lothar fell against Orgrim Doomhammer at the Battle of Blackrock Mountain. Many fought on this field. Many didn't make it. Lothar... Let me tell ye what happened all those years ago.
Regrets of the Past has 17 steps, from One Final Relic to The Journey Ends.
Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Burning Steppes (13), Silvermoon City (3), Arcantina (1).
Steps of this storyline count toward:
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
