Description

This statue seems out of place here. Nothing else like it. But this is where Anduin Lothar fell against Orgrim Doomhammer at the Battle of Blackrock Mountain.

Many fought on this field. Many didn't make it. Lothar...

Let me tell ye what happened all those years ago.

Nobody might care, but I just have to say I really enjoyed that short cutscene. I remember so clearly playing that mission in Warcraft 2, and Lothar dying. In subsequent missions, if you clicked on Turalyon a lot, he'd start getting frustrated, and one of his lines was "You think Lothar's death was my fault, don't you!".

Just really appreciate this little nod back to an era of my youth, and a game that opened a whole new world for me.

Before this quest

With their leader defeated and that third relic fragment found, we should regroup with the others back at Lothar's Statue, <name>. I'll meet you there.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Worthy ForgeBurning Steppes · Level 83-88

Thank you for all your help, <name>. It's strange to hold what remains of my father's shield and know that, prior to that day, he was such a defender of others. I feel I've only seen his aggressive side. I realize he means well, but I don't think... That is not the path for me.
