Horrible quest
For those of us who are a little slow, this is not one of the quests you get by lighting the lesser keyflames. You need to activate the greater keyflame. Problem is, nobody ever lights this one (I rarely see anyone at this area in general) so you'll have to spend 20 shards. About 30 seconds after you light the greater keyflame, the bonus quest "The Midnight Sentry" will activate and put the needed torch in your backpack. Go around the edges of the highlighted area and activate the torch. Go a little bit at a time, you might get two of the 80 elites and a random nearby mob or three if you just spam it. On a 615 demon hunter I had no issue taking down 2 at a time but your mileage may vary. Luckily you only have to do this once, then you can continue ignoring this area.
