Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Eye of Azshara: A Magical Affliction
Archmage Vargoth's betrayal is an unimaginable loss to our cause, <name>. We will have to deal with him, but first Meryl's condition has become dire. Unfortunately it is not an illness at all, but a magical attack of fel origin. It may be his old nemesis Kathra'natir is behind it.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Into the Oculus
I fear Kathra'natir is behind the attack on Meryl. We have little time to act. I suspect Archmage Vargoth's involvement is no coincidence. While it greatly pains me to destroy an archmage of his caliber and worse, someone I once called friend, we cannot permit his betrayal to stand unpunished.
