Voices from the Deep

Voices from the Deep is a quest for level 75-78 in Hallowfall. It is step 4 of 6 in the Crushing Depths storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Hallowfall at 54.5, 25.3. It rewards 10,200 experience and money.

Description

To deceive the senses of these kobyss is one matter. To know what will captivate them is another. They champ and drool at the thought of devouring your kind. But it is the voices of the deep that transfix them and lower their guard. It's then that you will strike.

Search their shrines to gain an insight for what these wretches hold sacred. See how they have twisted the bellowing truths that lie below.

While you're adventuring in Hallowfall you'll probably kill creatures at the Sunless Strand and find a [item=217352] which will start Gasping Plea.

Find the location marked on your map and you'll meet a [npc=219430] for the Crushing Depths storyline (Tidal Charms,Voices from the Deep,Alluring Offer) that will eventually lead to Return to the Sea with the [item=222964] reward.

Make sure you're not on a mount when you are supposed to throw the fish into the water. When I did the quests, the extra action buttons for [spell=440905] and [spell=440980] didn't show until I dismounted.

"They are gone, but their blood remains. The blood remembers."

So we can safely assume this is about the old gods. Considering what we see in Azj-Kahet with the Harronir's quests, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing more of the deep sea in the next patches

That is every comment on this page.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Tidal CharmsHallowfall · Level 75-78

<When the fish speaks, its lips do not move. You hear its voice in your head.> No doubt you have found that your senses cannot be trusted when dealing with the kobyss. A tremendous power, is it not? It is only fair that you show them the power they wield is not theirs alone.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Alluring OfferHallowfall · Level 75-78

It is done. Take this tidal charm, cloak your form in the darkness of the sea, and unmake the kobyss. Their strongest warriors gather and scheme against your kind upon that central island. With the lure, they will not see you for what you are. Use that advantage to become their end.
