The Twin Ziggurats

The Twin Ziggurats is a Horde-only quest for level 1-30 in Ghostlands. It is step 37 of 41 in the Ghostlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ghostlands at 55.1, 48.8. It rewards 2 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 6,200 experience and money.

Description

According to this journal, Dar'Khan promised the Scourge two powerful elven artifacts: the stone of light and the stone of flame. These were imbued with the magical energies of the Sunwell and attuned to have warding powers against the Scourge.

The crystals were to be transported to where the Howling Ziggurat and the Bleeding Ziggurat now stand, in the middle of the Dead Scar. If they're still held there, we need to recover them. Their power will be greatly useful in our struggle against the enemy.

The ziggurats are southwest of Tranquillien. Both stones are inside the ziggurats, within a black chest in the center. Be prepared to fight two or more level 17-18 casters.

I was able to solo as a 17 paladin. I used mana tap and line of sight to pull.

The Traitor's Shadow (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9161) precedes this and The Traitor's Destruction (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9167) follows.

I am just clearing up what the above poster said as "line of sight to pull".

By that he means to stand at the top of the stairs and agro one of the mobs, then back up so they have to run to the top of the stairs. Then attack them there.
Beware, they will try and run away once you get their life low enough.

The stairs splits to the left and right. There is a caster at the bottom of each set of stairs, a third caster in the middle of the room on the far side and fourth caster right by the chest. (he's right behind the wall at the top of the stairs)

  • Report to Magister KaendrisGhostlands · Level 1-30

The magisters at the Sanctum of the Sun have made great progress in analyzing the Scourge's weaknesses with the aid of the Forsaken. Magister Kaendris will know what to do with this information. You'll find the Sanctum of the Sun southwest of here. You must hurry, <name>.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Captives at DeatholmeGhostlands · Level 1-30

Ah, yes. I possess a draught that will break most forms of alchemically induced stupor. Side effects include confusion, nausea and - in rare cases - temporary blindness. All much preferable to whatever the Scourge plans to do to those prisoners in Deatholme, if you ask me.
