As of MoP Remix (Horde-side) this seems bugged and kicks you off the Thunderwing rather quickly regardless of what you seem to do...

EDIT: I beat it. You just have to do TONS of damage and kill all three waves before the corner where it teleports you. Protip: do this as low level as possible (level 50 in MoP:Remix) and do it in GOOD GEAR! I was able to complete it on my ilvl 323 Level 70 Hunter by switching to Marksman and just being incredibly quick.

  • Tear Down This Wall!Isle of Thunder · Level 32-35

The time has come. Our forces are well-enough entrenched here that we can risk pressing forward, into the Thunder King's lair. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he'll be opening that gate anytime soon. I suppose we'll have to make a gate of our own then. Let me know when you're ready, <name>.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Decisive ActionIsle of Thunder · Level 32-35

Zandalari warships plunder the seas around this island. They ferry in soldiers and war beasts from Zandalar to bolster Lei Shen's army. If we can capture the palace shipyard, the Thunder King's supply line will be cut off, and your foothold here will be secure.
