Setting the Trap is a group quest for level 32-35 in Isle of Thunder. It is step 5 of 11 in the Sunreaver Onslaught storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Thunder at 51.4, 46.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,000 experience and money.

Description

Take these 3 ritual stones to the location I have marked on your map. There, you will find a Shan'ze ritual object that you can use to beckon one of their powerful allies.

You will need capable friends at your side for this trap to work. Do not go alone, for these will be some of the Thunder King's most powerful servants.

When your enemy shows itself, show no mercy.

I recommend bringing 4-5 people.

Make sure you Interrupt the Roar, which fears you. Also make sure you kill the add he summons called Skumblade, before he eats it. It will recover about 20% of his HP if he is successful in eating him. You don't have much time in killing the add either, so do it quickly.

INTERESTING FACT: Kros has a high chance of dropping [item=94222].

If you see a group forming for him in General ("Setting the Trap"), I highly recommend joining! I was able to get a key this way on 4 of my toons in one day.

Make sure you loot him once he dies. four out of six times he dropped 4 of these keys meaning 4/5 of the group were able to loot a key.

I recommend doing this on every toon, especially alts that could benefit from the amount of Elder Charms of Good Fortune you acquire during the Treasure solo instance.

You cannot do this in a raid if you're trying to complete the quest, as you cannot do quests while in a raid group. It is doable with 5 people, so if you're trying to complete the quest, only get up to 5 people. Of course, this is nothing new, but just a reminder for people who didn't know, as you will lose your ritual stones.

You can however do it in a raid group to get credit for 'It was Worth Every Ritual Stone'.
