Anyone else having issues with the Gnomecorder, and also the "radio" device during the Horatio Laine quest line in the Deadmines?

I'm assuming I'm supposed to be able to talk to these people and turn in / accept quests from them, but I end up having to return to them where they are standing to continue on. REALLY annoying.

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • We Must Prepare!Redridge Mountains · Level 7-30

More of our citizens go missing every day. We think the gnolls are responsible, but we have no idea where they are taking them! If you are to help us defeat the gnolls and find our people, you must be properly equipped. Unfortunately, we are all out of gnomecorders.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Canyon RompRedridge Mountains · Level 7-30

<The gnomecorder hums.> The first order of business is a romp through the Redridge Canyons, directly north of Lakeshire. Kill every gnome that you see... woops, did I say gnome? I meant gnoll. Kill every GNOLL that you see and take their collars as proof of deed.
