TheWoWDBI think some of the people here are thinking about the wrong rocks to blow up when it comes to this quest.
I made the same mistake at first, but the rocks you are looking for are not the spiky rubble that is on the floor, nor the ruins that resemble Greek pilars. But rather the very big blocks, that look like marble or something. They come in 4 colors:
- White in the first big room (Alabaster)
- Purple (Amethyst)
- Blue (Celestite)
- Red (Garnet)Each big "room" in the cave contains one of the 4 blocks.

The Deep Garnet is in the cave with the spider Amthea. The large red blocks on the side of the wall.
Note: The Deep Garnet Crystal is blown from the big, red, square blocks. They look nothing like the blue/purple/green boulders that you've previously looted.

Hey! I need some help gatherin' crystals. The elementals trade top dollar for these things... if you help me gather all the different kinds, I'll cut you in on the profits. Use these bombs to blow out chunks from the bigger formations. I've got a nasty habit of packin' the explosives a bit thick. Mind the kick.
