Voices Below

Voices Below is an Alliance-only quest for level 30-60 in Stormsong Valley. It is step 22 of 43 in the A House in Peril storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Stormsong Valley at 66.2, 47.5. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

The others forged ahead to Port Fogtide. I doubt they will receive a warm welcome.

We are to meet them there. However, there is something I must do first.

Despite Reid's retreat I still feel a terrible darkness nearby; I wish to listen to the tides for answers. I would appreciate your joining me in case more danger strays into our path.

I was dead curious, after flying, what would happen if you followed the boat you see in this quest? Well, it's moving fast, but not too fast for a flying mount. When you do catch up with it though, you'll quickly find that the k'thir and Lord Stormsong are untargetable ... in fact, the boat isn't even "real". You can't land on it, you just go right through the hull.

If you follow it all the way, you end up with a debuff that "chokes" you-although you take no damage or anything. You just black out and wake up at the manor house on the south end of the island. So sadly no real point in following along, but at least now I know :)

That is every comment on this page.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Storm's JudgmentStormsong Valley · Level 30-60

When I opened my mind to the currents during the ritual, I felt the presence of a member of Lord Stormsong's innermost circle. Wavespeaker Reid. If anyone can locate the missing fleet, it is him. I will not stand by while my brothers move against our own people. Oaths be damned.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Beneath the VeilStormsong Valley · Level 30-60

We must board the Abyssal Melody and save the myriad souls in her decks before they too disappear into the Shrine. We will not be able to enter so long as the barrier surrounding it stands. The tidesages are using forbidden magic to summon extensions of their will.
