TheWoWDBI got this quest out of order since I didn't realize I had the refocusing crystal fragments in my inventory. Then I kept seeing hippogryphs sitting around and I could click on all of them, so I was a little confused as to which one I should ride.
Turns out you can ride any of the clickable ones. They'll fly you over the compound and you drop mana explosions on stuff below - typical WoW bombing run. When you're done, the hippogryph will return to where you got on it.

Just an FYI: You may run into a bug when you click the ? on the quest log to the right. What I did was then go to the map to "Complete Quest" and then the next quest popped up.
Didn't know what the hell happened when it disappeared the first time!
If your quest log is full when completing Recovering Stolen Power, you will not be able to accept this quest. (It doesn't figure out you just completed a quest)
You can pick up the quest at a "Moonfall Riding Hippogryph" at coordinates 35.17 16.62

Description
