Doing this quest again on remix just unlocked 9 years of PTSD
Far less painful than I anticipated.
Note: This is a non-optional quest in the Eminent Grow-Main storyline. Next quest in this storyline is Redhoof the Ancient.
1. Avoid the ettin.
2. Do not be mounted. You'll have to walk.
3. Walk around a kitten, then walk up to its tail while pointing in the right direction. Stand there for a moment and the kitten will go approximately in the direction you want it to go. (I don't know if hunter pets help with this or not.)
4. Do this a number of times and when you're close enough, the kitten will be 'locked in' (it will slowly walk towards its mother) and you'll get quest credit a few seconds later.

What to do
Description
While you were dealing with the stray Owlkitten, I took a look around. It seems these curious creatures have a habit of escaping their parents' watchful eyes - some are trapped across the road by a wandering Ettin. He appears to have been... ahem... eating them. We can earn Yowlon's blessing by bringing his children home.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Homeward Bounding
The first step to establishing a moonwell is to gain the blessings of the local wildlife. It is their good will that enables us to peacefully coexist, and a moonwell thrives on such energies. Combined with Elune's light, a moonwell can purify its surroundings for years.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Trouble Has Huge Feet
The Ettin's hide bears many shallow scratch marks and bite scars. It seems he had been terrorizing the local Owlcats for quite some time. Mardranel Forestheart would be interested in this.
