Q: The charging station is up but I cannot use it!
A: You didn't unlock it! There is a quest chain to unlock it.
1. Complete the Mechagon intro questline up to & including the quest: Welcome to the Resistance.
2. See Christy Punchcog in Rustbolt & complete the quest: Upgraded.
3. Go back to Christy Punchcog & complete the quest: First One's Free.
4. See Flip Quickcharge in Rustbolt & complete the quest: Batteries Not Included.
5. Go back to Flip & complete the quest: Your First Charge is Free!

Once you've contributed to building (or "paid,") you will get a buff: Access: Charging Station, which allows you to charge your Empty Energy Cells, as long as the buff persists.

You are able to charge any [item=166971] that you have in your bank, you don't need to be carrying them in your inventory.
