This is bugged (in several ways), but can be worked around.
After you tell Ban you are ready, you both ride up to the balloon, and Ban waits for you to tell him to leave, Ban will jump into the balloon. You should also be placed in the balloon, and a cinematic should begin; however, this sometimes fails to happen, with Ban simply staying in the balloon, doing his talk, with the balloon not moving and you still standing outside it. Abandoning the quest to try again alone won't help, and you will just produce multiple Bans and balloons (side effect of this is that each Ban will buff you with an earth shield, allowing you to have as many on you as you want.)
If you abandon and repeat the same steps, before talking to Ban to leave in the balloon, simply exit the game/log out. This appears to fix the issue.
As to the volume of Ban's dialogue, hopefully Blizzard will fix that in time.
Blizz, nobody really expects you to deliver quality anymore, you've made it clear over the years that you don't care. We got that.
But: For a "Remix", a sort of a new edition, slapping the same old bugs we have been reporting for the last 10 years right in our faces is just a complete lack of respect towards your players.

What to do
Description
This has simply gone too far. I cannot ignore our abandonment any longer. After all that's happened here, and all you've been through in Firebough, we must travel to the monastery. Whatever they are doing in there can wait! We can take my balloon up the mountain to the Monastery. It's anchored back by the camp, to the northeast.
