One of the funniest things I've ever seen in this game:

I was doing this quest on my death knight, and there was a mage there as well. She was so worried that I'd get to the barrels before she did, and she kept dashing in and stealing them while I was fighting the mobs to get to the barrels. Finally at one point, she used her Blink ability to get to one before I could get it, and she Blinked herself directly through one of the low parts of the crenelations and right off the wall, falling to her death! I laughed until I nearly cried, and chalked another one up for Karma.

Now every time I do this quest, I chuckle all over again about that selfish mage.

Edit: constellations != crenelations.../sigh

It's all very good with a questline, but you already have that above the guiding screenshots. My problem here, was to get back on the wall, to finish the quest. And I found out that I had to seek to the camp up higher, with snow on the ground. When you follow the trail up, you go to the right in stead of the camp to the left.

What to do

Rewards13g 74s, 4,800 XP

Description

I have an idea, and... am prepared to make a terrible sacrifice. As much as I know that we need my stout brew, to fortify our defenders for the long-term security of the Ox Gate... It is too painful to discuss details now, but please - while you are up here defending the wall, gather the barrels of oil they are using to light their arrows. We will need them.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Off the Wall!Kun-Lai Summit · Level 20-35

    The yaungol on the wall here are providing covering fire for the ones below. I don't know what Lao-chen is thinking, but I want you to deal with these archers. The good news is, up here we've got the spirit of the Ox helping us.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Lao-Chin's GambitKun-Lai Summit · Level 20-35

    Alright. Thanks to you, we have the wall under control. Good job. I'll stay up here for a little while and make sure no more yaungol get up onto the wall. You, though, should go back down and see what Lao-Chin has cooked up. I hate to say it, but maybe he had a good idea after all...
