2. [quest=49929] - travel to Stormwind (/way Stormwind 52.1 13.4 [npc=126301])

4. A Choice of Allies - talk to [npc=126321] and High Exarch Turalyon or click the two flags nearby, then speak to [npc=126301] and select your prefered race.
   This quest might only show up if you've done the requirements (exalted with certain factions and the related quest chain). These requirements seem to count account-wide.

Quest chain for the Void Elves:

2. The Ghostlands - wait for the dialogue and use the void rift
   - go to the marked quest areas and read Umbric's Notes - Sanctum of the Moon (ground floor), Umbric's Notes - Andilien Estate and Umbric's Notes - Dawnstar Spire (upstairs, use teleporter).

4. Telogrus Rift - click on [npc=130877] to start the scenario:
   P1: speak to [npc=126646]
   P2: follow him and watch the dialogue
   P3: use the [npc=127018]
   P4: kill enemies to fill the bar
   P5: follow the way and use [npc=127520]
   P6: kill enemies to fill the bar
   P7: defeat [npc=126589]
   P8: click on [npc=127521]
   P9: click 3 [npc=126789]s
   P10: defeat [npc=126470] and click the [npc=127785] to turn in. You'll get [item=156486] (ground mount, Alliance only) after that and gain Allied Races: Void Elf.

Now [npc=126301] offers the quest [quest=50248], if you've done the requirements. If you left the area, here are the coordinates to find him again: /way Stormwind 53.0 14.9 Entrance to Anduin

Quest chain for the Lightforged Draenei:

1. 
   
2. [quest=50248] - accept, click the dialogue option and chose your second race
3. 
   
4. The Lightforged (from High Exarch Turalyon) - follow him, leave the building and click [npc=130758]

6. Forge of Aeons - (Video), use the teleporter in the middle of the Vindicaar to start the scenario:
   P1: meet with [npc=127827] and follow him around til you reach the burrow
   P2: enter the burrow, click [npc=128036] and kill [npc=128038]
   P3: leave the burrow and kill 7 [npc=128120]s or [npc=128713]s
   P4: find the cave: /way 16.8 45.9 Entrance - enter and kill [npc=128427]
   P5 follow [npc=127827] to the big tree on the map, watch the dialogue and free [npc=128424]
   P6: follow him again to the south-eastern cave and click at his 6 illusions, also marked on the minimap
   P7: defeat [npc=127924] and click the [npc=127964] to return to the Vindicaar

8. Finish Forge of Aeons and accept For the Light! from [npc=130810] - return to Stormwind: take the Vindicaar portal which normally takes you to Dalaran and you will stand in front of your starting position in Stormwind

10. Turn in For the Light! at [npc=126301]. You'll get [item=155656] (ground mount, Alliance only) after that and gain Allied Races: Lightforged Draenei.

but a max level toon of the appropriate faction is required for the recruitment scenarios for each race

you can have the reputation exatled on an horde character, and complete the short chain with an ally without reputation
