Alpha Bat

Alpha Bat is a quest for level 10-59 in Revendreth. It is step 3 of 14 in The Penitent Hunt storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Revendreth at 51.3, 74.3. It rewards 1 reward item, 8,050 experience and money.

Description

Dredbats are quite useful to us. We make them just like stoneborn, but they lack their same... intelligence. With very little direction, they strike fear into stubborn souls' hearts.

With the anima drought, our dominion over them has waned. One, Duskterror, has wreaked the most havoc.

This presents us with an opportunity. Take this soul and draw her in. When she's weak, we can capture her for our own purposes.

To complete this quest you need to hitch Houndmaster Loksey to the stake in the Grove of Terror.
At the marked point click to the stake to hitch the spirit and [npc=163059] will fly down to attack.
Make its hp down so Flockmaster Sergio appears and take the bat with him.

I arrived at the stake but another player was already attacking the bat. As mentioned in another comment, I couldn't click the stake so I just waited (without attacking the bat myself). When the other player captured the bat, the quest completed for me, too, without lifting a finger.

You may not be able to interact with the stake if somebody else is currently trying to capture the Duskterror.

Note that binding Houndmaster Loksey to the stake is optional and you will get quest credit for simply attacking the Duskterror until it has been captured.
