Arelion's Journal

Arelion's Journal is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in Hellfire Peninsula. It is step 77 of 103 in the Hellfire Peninsula storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Hellfire Peninsula at 26.4, 60.3. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

My husband, Arelion, had been fascinated with the Pools of Aggonar ever since we arrived in Outland. He spent much of his time studying slimes, of all things!

He went missing in there a few days ago. They say he's dead and there's nothing I can do about it.

One thing I can do is try to ensure that his research doesn't die with him. Go northeast to the pools and look for his journal. He always carried it inside a brown knapsack.

Be slightly careful on this one. I read the comments and saw the bag on the tree, next to the corpse. The cog came on on my mouse pointer and I looted the bag and then shot back to turn in the quest and couldn't understand why it wouldn't let me do it. I looked through my bags and found that I had looted a knapsack with some worthless stuff in it. Had auto-loot on and never checked!
Had to go back and kill loads of slimes. The journal dropped from one of the small oozlings rather than the big one so check them all!

  • Birds of a FeatherHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

The Haal'eshi arakkoa have domesticated a beautiful bird species called the kaliri. I've managed to capture a young male and they appear to be trainable. The females are much rarer, but if I had one I could attempt to breed them. She has to be young, though... a hatchling.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Arelion's SecretHellfire Peninsula · Level 10-30

Arelion's journal does not deal with any sort of scholarly studies. It details his escapades with a young female blood elf! How could I've been such a fool? Unfortunately, the floozy's identity is not revealed in this journal. Aledis, a colleague of Arelion's, was his best friend and confidant.
