When you start this quest, get Shadowpine Weaponry (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9214) as well. It's a good chance to do a couple quests at the same time since half the mobs you need to kill are the same for this quest, and the other half you need to kill are with the follow up.
For those who didn't go through Ghostlands and want to do these quests (long story), the NPC won't have them for you until you fulfill a certain few others in the zone.
1. Pick up the quest The Forsaken from [npc=16197] in Tranquilien, and turn it in to open up some other questgivers in town.
2. Talk to [npc=16213] right outside and pick up Help Ranger Valanna! to get started on fighting the trolls. Do her quest to kill a few trolls and she'll next send you to Farstrider Enclave with Report to Captain Helios.
3. Once you've turned that in to [npc=16220] other NPCs at the enclave will offer quests, including [npc=16463] who then gives you these quests!

What to do
Description
Our resources are spread pretty thin here, {class}, so your help is going to be invaluable. The captain has tasked me with overseeing the harassment of the local Shadowpine troll camps. We have a policy of keeping them off balance until the day when we can launch a brutal offensive to wipe them out. Until then, we need all of the volunteers that we can get so that those Shadowpine troll numbers are decreased. Think you could head east to Zeb'Tela and hurt them a little?

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Vanquishing Aquantion
That willful elemental ended many lives that fateful day when he revolted against us. By calling to the lowly murloc to sabotage our rites he subverted our magic and turned it against us. Show him our thirst for vengeance has not waned!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Assault on Zeb'Nowa
Time for something a little more challenging. Zeb'Nowa, to the south, is where the more powerful Shadowpine trolls make their home. In our continuing effort to keep the troll numbers to a minimum I'm dispatching you to go down there and assail them by whatever means you have at your disposal.
