In this short quest, you will help a Ebyssian (dragonkin) subdue Adamanthia (dragonkin) by healing Ebyssian during the fight. You do not fight.
- Be 70 and in augmentation spec--doesn't matter if you've ever used it, but I downloaded a build for it
- Quest will show up automatically when you enter Valdraken if both conditions (level 70, Augmentation spec) are met
- Go to the quest location in the High Creche in the Forbidden Isle /way #2151 58.6 68.4 Scalecommander Emberthal
- Have your action bar ready with (1) Blistering Scales, (2) Ebon Might, (3) Breath of Eos. (I also had Obsidian Scales, Emerald Blossom, and Tip the Scales, but I don't think they are necessary.)
- Be sure to dodge the falling and erupting stuff, because it will take you out. Self heal/buff, if needed.
- Once he starts fighting, toss Blistering Scales and Ebon Might on him, then keep those up when they are off cooldown. I tossed in a Breath of Eos at one point. I think DBM told me when to do that, but I'm really not sure if DBM did that or the game. The first two have a 30 second cooldown.
- When you've helped save the day, you turn the quest in to the NPC right away and your pet will be in your bag

Brand new into the Augmentation spec I had no idea what to expect from this quest. I died a few times before I figured out that it's best to just stay out of the fight altogether. Stand behind Ebyssian so you can still augment him with Ebon Might and Blistering Scales when they come up on the screen. Occasionally you'll be prompted to use Breath of Eons on Adamanthia. Dodge the falling rocks and keep back if you can, otherwise you'll take a lot of damage real fast.
Yes, I'm probably pretty terrible at playing this class but with that strategy I got my pet. Good luck!
To be almost certain you'll get the initial Our Destiny for this Dracthyr/Evoker-specific questline & pet to pop up on 10.1.5's release and later on:
Have your Dracthyr leveled up to 70, specialize into Augmentation and zone inside of Valdrakken (i.E. by running down the stairs from "Seat of the Aspects" until the zone is showing "Valdrakken", it should only take a second for the quest to pop up after that.
While it doesn't matter what your spec is when you've got that initial quest, for the final quest Augmenting a Dragon, it's mandatory to be specialized as [spell=396186], a little encounter requires the usage of [spell=395152] and [spell=360827]. (when I did that, the quest didn't mention that).

Description
Adamanthia! She has been imprisoned for ages, trapped in torment. While the dracthyr slept, she suffered. I can only hope she has not given in to Deathwing's madness during her long imprisonment. The passage of time may have shattered her mind. Be ready, champion. Should she lash out, aid Ebyssian. Augment his abilities, so he can subdue Adamanthia instead of slaying her. She has earned a chance. We must give it to her.

Before this quest

- The High Creche
Have you felt it? We have already started bringing the barrier down. This prison for Adamanthia held so much power. And now I can augment again! A fully trained evoker was always intended to empower their allies, as much as healing or devastation. I remember that now... and more.
