The numerous [npc=44557]s that roam around or spawn from the clickable Shallow Graves do not drop [item=52064], even though they're in the same area and are "Sandfury" mobs. Can't say why, though; perhaps they were embalmed.
When in doubt, check the tooltip. If it doesn't show the quest name, the mob won't drop it. The Firecallers, Hideskinners and Axe Throwers all have about a 55-60% drop rate.

To survive in de harsh desert, de Sandfury had to learn all de secrets of blood magic. You drink de blood, you get de power...darkest voodoo, yah? But dere be no room for holdin' back out here. If we gonna find de sword, we need blood. Lucky for ya, Mazoga be a traitor, yah? And dere be plenty of Sandfury trolls wanderin' over de hills dere. Go an' get Mazoga blood...plenty of blood...and we make de ritual to find Jang'thraze.
