Captain Dreadbeard (Alliance)

Captain Dreadbeard is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-30 in Tanaris. It is step 9 of 48 in the Tanaris storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Tanaris at 72.2, 45.2. It rewards 4 reward items, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

This is getting pretty fun, but let's not forget we're here for Gnomeregan!

We spotted the captain of the Southsea over on one of his boats to the south, past where all the fighting is. He's all alone on his little boat, undefended!

If you go take care of him, we'll have the rest of these pirates mopped up in no time.

Dreadbeard is Level ? (Boss), but don't let that scare you, he IS Boss level, but scaled for 45s (His base level is ~48 ish.) and he's very soloable. It's funny though to watch an 85 try this and get a string of missed attacks. (And then get burned by Deathwing as he burns Tanaris TO THE GROUND again)

Before this quest

  • Filling Our PocketsTanaris · Level 15-30

I know we're here to make friends with the Steamwheedle goblins, but those awful Bilgewater goblins are so rude. Why, I just saw a bunch of them pulling gold fillings out of the teeth of the Southsea musketeers and strongarms. Do they think they can just take that for themselves?

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • All Cheered OutTanaris · Level 15-30

Well gosh, we've cleaned up quite a bit here! <Kelsey clears her throat.> Listen, <name>, I'm looking forward to finally vacating this killbox so I can get away from these goblins and drop the cheer-act.
