Capturing the Keystone

Capturing the Keystone is a dungeon quest for level 25-30 in Netherstorm. It is step 82 of 103 in the Netherstorm storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Netherstorm at 58.3, 86.4. It rewards 8,250 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

It doesn't surprise me that Kael'thas has put the key to this ward in the hands of someone like Commander Sarannis. Prince Kael'thas is a great many things, but he is no simpleton.

In order to break this curse once and for all, you must enter Tempest Keep and claim the keystone.

Only once the keystone has been destroyed will I regain my freedom.

Don't know if anyone noticed the text where the archmage says "some scryed to remember, some scryed to forget" which is obviously an ironic refrence to Hotel California, considering the archmage can't leave the tower he is in.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

In retrospect, I suppose I should've expected Kael'thas's magic to be this robust. He's always been a talented mage, but I've never seen anything like the power he wielded during the attack on the tower.
