Captured Critters is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-40 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 3 of 6 in the Ending the Gloom storyline. It rewards 5,450 experience and money.
This poor critter is about to be podling food. It would be pretty easy to set this little guy free.

These buggers are easy to miss in the grass.
Even though supposedly you can find them in a large area, I was only able to locate them in a small spot around 45,18.
You can use a command to find them more easily:
/target Captured Critter
Be sure "Target" is turned on (using the drop down list from the magnifying glass attached to the mini-map).
Type /tar captured critter (or create a macro)
If you have your Creepy Crate companion out, beware! It will EAT the critters!

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
