TheWoWDBI don't know why, but the first time I approached the cave entrance it wouldn't clear. Possibly because I was mounted? I abandoned the quest, went back and got it again, ran back over and the Earthen with me finally blew away the rocks.

Description
Unless it is a convergence of coincidence, whoever these large outlanders are, they appear to also be interested in the crystal's signal--and the location of its origin. I'm not sure if I were mounted when I came to the cave first with my mage. But nothing happened. I blinked through... still nothing happened. Then I read your comment and blinked out. After that the Earthen blew away the rocks.
