It is worth noting that the quest The Friend O' My Enemy should be completed prior to this one. If you kill any of the Burning Blade forces after finishing Challenge of the Masters then they become hostile again.
This challenge takes place inside a cavern. If you forget (like I did because I went away and came back to it later), it's easy to get confused and think it takes place outdoors. You need to go to Hallvalor, find the cavern entrance at 87.80, 55.31 (near the lava pit). Run in to the back of this cavern.

The time has come to challenge the Burning Blade masters. Go to the back of the cavern. There you will find the challenge ring and the masters watching over it from above. Pull the blade from the middle of the ring to issue your challenge. My clan values honor above all else and will respect your claim to trial by combat. As reward, you will be allowed to walk away with your life. Or, you will be dead.
