Charging The Blade

Charging The Blade is a quest for level 60 in Maldraxxus. It is step 12 of 20 in the Righteous Retribution storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Maldraxxus at 28.8, 38.2. It rewards 8,150 experience and money.

Description

We can't advance with those juggernauts bombarding our position! I led a strike against the nearest, but conventional weapons do nothing against their imbued hides.

Thankfully, I have an idea.

Your old runeblade can't deal with them as it stands, but if you could purge Gharmal's empowered masses and absorb their essence into the blade...

25% - [npc=167304], [npc=167305](?)
8% - Empowered Warflesh, Rancid Gutterfiend
5% - Stitchyard Apprentice, Stitchyard Surgeon, Scavenging Flayedwing
0% - Genghis, Noxious Shambler, Boneshard Breacher, Decrepit Siphoner, Voracious Slopslurper

[npc=167305] took me from 79 to 100%, so I assume he gives 25% but can't say for sure.

That is every comment on this page.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Trouble on the Western FrontMaldraxxus · Level 60

Alexandros and our Maldraxxi allies need reinforcement at the western gate on the Margrave's opposite flank. They are barely holding on! Our forces will reinforce our position here and push forward towards Gharmal.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Aerial AdvantageMaldraxxus · Level 60

Gharmal's rocs dominate the skies above, striking at our forces as we advance. The Zerekriss can't get into position until they are cleared out! I would take care of them myself, but I'm not much of a flier. Don't have the balance for it! Take my riding hook and latch onto a roc.
