Elemental Power Extraction

Elemental Power Extraction is a quest for level 25-30 in Netherstorm. It is step 40 of 103 in the Netherstorm storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Netherstorm at 32.4, 66.8. It rewards 4 reward items, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

Darn it, that didn't do it!

Ok, I've got another idea! I had Xyrol whip up an elemental power extractor. I'm not certain exactly what this power will do, but I know that I can use it.

The sundered rumblers and warp aberrations on the ledge of the Crumbling Wastes to the south have just what I need for the engines!

The extractor will change the form of their power into something solid that you'll be able to gather up after you've defeated them.

Just to anyone that is wondering:

1. Use the extractor.
2. Kill the elemental.
3. Loot a little crystal that spawns above their corpse.

So there's no need to get them to a certain percentage, i.e. kill yourself with rezz debuff in order to hit them for nothing.

So you walk up to a Warp Abberation (very close). You right click your Elemental Power Extractor, the mob hits you but the cast is uninterupted. The mob gets a blue gas glow. You kill him and he drops a blue crystal. You right click it and collect the Elemental power.

Same thing on the Sundered Rumbler except after you kill it, it spawns another smaller mob (Rumbler shard) with the blue crystall. Kill the add collect the crystal.

  • Essence for the EnginesNetherstorm · Level 25-30

As the X-52's chief of engineering, I have to see to it that the nether-rocket's main engines are in tip-top shape. Unfortunately, I haven't built them yet. <class>, I'm in dire straits here! I have almost all of the parts. All that I'm missing is the engine core.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Invaluable Asset ZappingNetherstorm · Level 25-30

See the fissure running through Area 52? We did that! <grin> It's yielding up all sorts of goodies for the X-52 Nether-Rocket, but we're running short on equipment. We had an operation at the Arklon Ruins to the southeast until the Burning Legion moved in.
