Elemental Hors D'Oeuvres is a quest for level 70-73 in Isle of Dorn. It is step 3 of 4 in the Life Finds a Way storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Dorn at 74.6, 19.7. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

The cloudrooks cannot possibly circle forever, and I cannot bear more of them being lost. But maybe they'd roost if we tempted them with their favorite food?

The eels that swim in these waters carry a small electrical charge not unlike the mosswool favored by their faster, stronger cousins the stormrooks. I once reasoned that cloudrooks might enjoy the eels for similar reasons.

And I confess... I've been feeding them the eels ever since.

Gather some up and give it a go.

In addition to the party issues others are reporting, I was doing the quest solo and ran out of eels at 9/10. Every rod gave me nothing, and I looped the beach for a while. On the off chance that you are like me, pay attention to the crabs fighting on the beach. They are fighting over eels sat right in the middle of them, and I could not see those eels from the air. There are plenty of eels on the beach if you use your eyes a bit better than I did!

Completing this in a group (at least as of this comment) can cause issues - I had to compete with my party member on all but the fishing poles spawns of the fish. I got 8 and she got 10, none respawned. Returned 20 minutes later and it was the same, dropping and reacquiring the quest reset them all and I was able to easily do the quest.

Others questing at the same time were still looting the fish, so it's a party issue. Hopefully fixed soon.

To get the eels:
- use the fishing rods - some will give you an eel, most not
- collect the eels on the sand - some eels
- fight groups of crabs which are fighting themselfs for one eel - most eels

You need a little bit of patience.
