"Tyri" is actually a blue dragonkin by the name of Tyrygosa, depicted in the Sunwell Trilogy by Richard A. Knaak.
She is a fond of her good looks, and wanted to be a Night Elf female when transformed, because "elves are at least aesthetically attractive", as she so approriately put it.
She is the fiancee of Kalegcos, a young blue dragonkin who is trapped in human form due to a magical neck chain made by Dar'Khan, a deceptive blood elf. Kalegcos possesses tremendous amounts of magic, and although his human form refrains him from practicing most of it, he can still do some cool stuff, e.g. make a sword out of thin air.

Description
Greetings, {name}. Do not be alarmed. This is merely a projection of my current form. It's the only way my companion and I could keep watch without revealing ourselves. The ethereal who approached you, Marid, is little better than a swindler in the guise of a legitimate merchant. I'd like you to consider working with me instead. My purpose out here is to find out more about the unusual dragonkin on this ridge. Meet me at the north end of the ridge and we will discuss this further.
