TheWoWDBIt worked this way for me: find two purple runes side by side, with another on the same line but only one rune away. Click on the purple rune which is away, then click on the rune between that one and the two together, and when the two unlike runes shift, they will be three in a row. Voila! Anyhow, that's how I did it.
