Warning for anyone out there: Dismount before pressing the button to launch yourself into the air. While the game allows you to use the button while mounted, if you do so, you will NOT get wings once you reach the top, and will instead fall straight back down. :P
The black clouds filled with lightning will bounce you back up, which makes it easier to complete this in 1 try.
Edit: Also, there are golden rings that count for 20% instead of the regular white ones that count for 10%.
I believe that "falling with style" is a reference to Toy Story - where, being a toy, Buzz Lightyear wasn't actually flying but rather "falling with style."
