Chasing a Memory

Chasing a Memory is a quest for level 10-52 in Bastion. It is step 1 of 11 in the Chasing a Memory storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Bastion at 54.7, 64.1. It rewards 875 experience and money.

Description

The attack on the Temple of Purity is unprecedented in Bastion. At least, to my knowledge.

We need to know more. The fragment that the Paragon captured may contain the answers we seek.

There is a place nearby called the Mnemonic Locus. There, aspirants and ascended alike can call forth their memories and store them away. If we can look through this fragment's memories, perhaps we can learn more about the so-called Forsworn and, with luck, uncover their plan.

I will meet you there. Go in service.

[npc=167037]:

Access to the Locus is currently restricted.

[npc=167034]:

I MADE you! I am the Forgelite PRIME!

[npc=167034] upon completion of Chasing a Memory:

<Mikanikos gestures irritably toward the Forsworn behind him.>

Are you here to help fix THIS?

Upon picking up Directions Not Included and The Prime's Directive, in the chat box:

Look what they have done to my Centurions! To the Locus!
<[npc=167034] gestures angrily at, well, everything.>

    Look at this place! What a mess. The Locus is inactive and these "Forsworn" have taken over. We need to restore the Locus, but I do not know how. This place is not of my design, built long, long ago. Luckily, the previous Forgelite Prime was prolific. Recorded everything!
