Flowing Pandaren Spirit

Due to these fights also being dailies, I thought a more long-term strategy write-up might be useful for you folks. These Elemental fights, especially when doing them as dailies, are about survival. Damage reduction is more important than damage, because these pets are Legendary Quality - all of their moves hit harder, and they have far more HP than your conventional pet.

The pets don't always appear in the order listed (trainers at time switch the order of their pets), but you can run from the fight and try again, or switch your own order of pets, if you'd like more choice in your set up. Eventually you'll get a line-up you're more comfortable with. Throughout this entire fight, you will find your entire team being hit with Tidal Waves, and you will have land mine moves ticking away below you constantly.

Marley, Aquatic - Pump, Dive, Whirlpool
1600 Health, 375 Speed, 300 Attack
For Marley, I advise a Flying type with Lift-Off, to DPS him down. His first cast is typically Whirlpool - if you're using a Flying type, you will out-speed him, so use a few basic attacks initially. His second attack is Dive, where he goes "under water" for a round, to come back up and blast you - combined with Whirlpool's proc, this inflicts massive damage. To avoid it, you'll cast Lift-Off the moment he's submerged, avoiding both the Dive and Whirlpool proc! Keep paying careful attention to when he goes under, and you should be able to knock him down after a few more rounds. Another option here is to use a Magic type, due to them being resistant to ALL THREE of his main abilities - but the only issue with that is Marley's high nuke power; even with higher survivability, his constant nuking of your character becomes difficult to overcome. The absolute BEST choice would be a Magic-type with Flying abilities, to do extra damage. Jade Owl is without a doubt your best option here.

Tiptoe, Critter - Water Jet, Healing Wave, Tidal Wave
1675 Health, 315 Speed, 334 Attack
For Tiptoe, who's a Critter despite being a pet type that's usually Aquatic, I recommend a Magic type, and it improves your game plan if it has Beast-style abilities, so you can burn him down while resisting his attacks. I recommend the Twilight Fiendling, who's most effective with Rake and Leap on his bar. Alternatively, bust out your hardest-hitting Beast pet and take him down as quickly as possible.

Pandaren Water Spirit, Elemental - Whirlpool, Geyser, Tidal Wave
1769 Health, 334 Speed, 300 Attack
For the Pandaren Water Spirit, he's weak against Aquatic abilities, and all of his moves are Aquatic, so he's clearly banking on the fact that you're fielding a fellow Elemental. Of course, what he doesn't realize is that you're not an idiot. You have three options: first, use the Rapana Whelk. You'll see this pet in my other guides, and it's only because they're so good at taking out Elementals that I recommend them so highly, as well as their Critter status - a Critter will take less damage from Geyser, resist the CC, and if you plan your Dive (a nuke that will hit the Water Spirit hard), you can avoid it entirely. Your second option is to utilize a Magic type to resist his attacks, preferably with Aquatic abilities. Legs with his incredible Pump ability comes to mind. There's also the Viscidus Globule. Your third and final option is if you want to try to DPS him down, go for your favorite Aquatic type, preferably one with Pump. This Elemental hits HARD, even if you're using a Magic type. Just keep in mind that he'll be piling Aquatic debuffs on you, and Geyser will stun you for a turn.

(Personally, this was the pet I picked upon finishing the quest, because he gave me so much trouble. Yet I still do this daily anyway. I'm masochistic.)

Easily soloable by a level 25 (or less, I did it with a lvl 23) Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji
Just spam Alpha Strike and use Ethereal when the following abilities are going to hit you: Whirlpool, Dive, Geyser.

After you complete Pandaren Spirit Tamer and choose your pet, you will unlock the Pandaren Spirit Tamer dailies. Defeating the Flowing Pandaren Spirit will reward [item=93147], which has a chance to drop the [item=90173]* pet.

The Flowing Pandaren Spirit's team consists of legendary quality, level 25 pets:

Avoid using Elemental pets in your line-up here, since all three have strong Aquatic attacks. Flying and Beast types will work well, especially ones that have the ability to avoid damage for a round (such as [petability=170] or [petability=159]) when [petability=418] and [petability=513] are about to go off for massive damage.

*Note that the bags dropped by each of the Spirit Tamers have different item IDs and loot tables! You can only obtain the [item=90173] pet from the bag that Flowing Pandaren Spirit rewards. For a chance at the other pets, defeat the other Tamers:
