Quest Log

Initiation Day

Initiation Day is a quest for level 10-0. It is step 1 of 5 in the Rooted In Traditions storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Harandar at 35.3, 23.3. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

<name>, today is when you find your proper place among the haranir.

Root Tender Dalnir will guide you. His path is one of tradition and humility, so don't expect excitement. By the end of the day, you will make your mark in the Den of Remembrance. The story you begin now will build on those that came before, like the roots themselves, growing the foundations of Harandar.

Dalnir was clearing invasive drifters from the roots. Before you go to him, aid Dalnir by removing some of the pests yourself.

This quest seems to be unavailable after a race change, yet it still appears on the map.

I believe this questline is for when you create a haranir, the initial questline before you join the alliance/horde, so if you race change, it will appear on your map but you cant do it.
Doesnt show up for me on my DH.

Same here, race change to Haranir specifically. Not sure if it was available before I race changed though

Roots Above AllLevel 10-90
Some say the great trees grow, and Harandar will remain even if we do not tend them. Our traditions say, it does not matter. We remain here to protect, tend and serve. We do this with dedication and humility. Keeping the environment around the roots clean and free of pests reflects upon this duty.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
