To get this quest you must complete the following:

3. High Commander Halford Wyrmbane
4. Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde
5. Flight of the Wintergarde Defender
6. Return to the High Commander
7. Rescue from Town Square
8. Find Durkon!
9. The Noble's Crypt

just so people get this one straight:

all you need is the quest [73] Into Hostile Territory. there is a set of 4 gryphons to the RIGHT of gryphon master Wells. just click on one to jump onto it, and then off you go! no need to actually TALK to Urik.

1) Into Hostile Territory - report to Report to Duke August Foehammer at Thorson's Post.
2) Steamtank Surprise - destroy 6 plaguewagons and drop the 7th Legion Elite at the Wintergarde Mausoleum.
3) Scattered To The Wind - pick up 8 Wintergarde Munitions
4) The Chain Gun And You - rescue 8 injured 7th Legion soldiers
5) Plunderbeard Must Be Found - find the gnome Plunderbeard in the Mausoleum.
6) Plunderbeard's Journal - find the missing four pages of Plunderbeard's journal
7) Chasing Icestorm: The 7th Legion Front - report to Legion Commander Tyralion at the 7th Legion Front
8) Chasing Icestorm: Thel'zan's Phylactery - retrieve Thel'zan's Phylactery from the frost wyrm Icestorm
9) Finality - take Thel'zan's Phylactery to Legion Commander Yorik

Description

You have done much to advance our efforts against the Scourge, {name}. In fact, the morale of all those who have come into contact with you soars! Such is your influence over the soldiers and citizenry of Wintergarde, ally. And because of you we are now prepared to go on the offensive! You are to report to Duke August Foehammer, across the Carrion Fields at Thorson's Post, east of here. Gryphon Commander Urik at the gryphon station has prepared a special gryphon to drop you behind enemy lines. Go now!
