Awesome. Quest. 1. Click the little arrow to man the gun. 2. Press 2 to call for a soldier to come. 3. The soldier will come running from either far left or right, and will have a Fear status icon over his head. He'll zigzag towards you. 4. Keep aiming at the soldier's feet and spam 1. This is because you can't hurt the soldier, and this way you'll smash down all ghouls on top of him. *Hold down right-click to move the gun left and right, as mentioned. 5. Repeat.

I struggled with this quest at first because I was trying to use the "clickable" arrows to control the pitch of the gun and I just couldn't aim my gun fast enough to keep the mobs off the soldiers. Then I realized that you can control the pitch of the gun by simply changing your camera angle and it became quite easy.

Aim by changing your camera angle to "look" directly where you want to shoot, then spam your 1 button to destroy things! Actually a very fun quest after you get the hang of the controls.

StorylineDragonblight, step 78 of 149
Rewards5,150 XP

Description

We've set up chain guns and barricades directly to the east and to the west. Our injured soldiers are hiding in both rooms - trying their best to not alert the mindless ghouls to their presence. Now that we have ammo, I need you to man one of the chain guns and use it to blast a path clear for our soldiers! Once you're on board, call a soldier out from hiding and then lay down heavy fire to keep the Scourge off him! Get a move on!

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Scattered To The WindDragonblight · Level 15-30

The munitions drop went badly, friend. The shipment of ammo from Westguard Keep was intercepted by the frostwyrms circling overhead. The flying machines were torn apart in a matter of seconds and their cargo was scattered to the wind. Most of it is still topside - on the Carrion Fields.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Plunderbeard Must Be Found!Dragonblight · Level 15-30

There's been talk of a tunnel dug by Scourge that connects the embalming chambers of the mausoleum with the large crypts, now unearthed by Thel'zan and his minions. I recently sent my best rogue, Plunderbeard, in search of answers, but have yet to hear back from him.
