Description

There's got to be a way to cure these poor creatures without having to take their lives. I have an idea, but I'll need your help, <class>.

The lashvine plants that roam here hold seeds full of the primal energy of this place. Collect these for me and bring them back, and we'll see if something can be done.

Annoyingly low drop rate with mobs spread out all over the place. They must be tweaking it, as I had no 100% drop rate from either brown or blue, and instead got three from blue, one from brown, though there were vastly more blue ones around than brown, so that's probably why (usually, they are paired one blue with one brown but that wasn't the case this time for me).

Incidentally, it helps to get the Forward Command quests (for Alliance) at the same time, as it has two advantages:

  2. Getting spread out all over for those quests gets you all over the place for more lashvines

  4. It gives you stuff to do while you wait for more lashvines to spawn if you killed them all

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Adder SubtractionSouthern Barrens · Level 10-30

The corruption unleashed here must be studied if we're to find a way of properly fighting it. Luckily, not all the creatures have been as altered as others. The smaller snakes drink little water, and do not eat plants, so their exposure to the energies here has been minimal.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Sowing a SolutionSouthern Barrens · Level 10-30

Based on what you've brought me, I think we may have a solution. I've imbued the lashvine seeds with healing energies. Simple contact with these should imbue the creatures here with enough energy to force out the corrupted influence.
